Prices are quoted on an individual basis and will vary based on location, duration of session, available facilities and scope of the sound and lighting system required. It is however likely we will have a solution for most budgets. Use our enquiry form or phone 07824 506444 for more details and price guidance.

A 50% deposit will be required to secure a booking with the balance due at the beginning of the event. This may be cash or can be paid with online banking. What isn’t acceptable is for us to chase a host around at the end of the night for payment. Let’s be realistic, who wants to pay the DJ when they’ve had a few and want the party to go on till sunrise !

Yes. A 50% non-returnable deposit will be required to secure a booking. Deposits may be waived in favour of invoicing for frequent and reputable customers.

Weekends are often busy so it’s not a bad idea to book well in advance however it’s always worth giving us a call on short notice as there can be cancellations or you might just strike it lucky.

ABSOLUTELY NOT ! This also extends to having a go on the decks or having a go on the mic.

The cost of replacement heads on bongos or drums is prohibitive and and tearing a drum skin with a ring can happen incredibly easily. Damage will be charged at the cost of repair which in the case of bongos is well over £100. It’s also incredibly annoying !

The host or property owner is legally responsible for noise complaints, not the DJ.

By way of wishing to operate professionally and maintain our good reputation, sound levels will be moderated to prevent tension with neighbours or anyone negatively affected. If we are instructed to stop by you, police or council officers the DJ will abide by their request. If instructed to stop, the full fee for the session will be chargeable.

On a less litigious note, it’s often a good idea to prepare your neighbours ahead of your event, whether it’s private or a coffee bar etc. Let them know what you’re planning and even invite them. Be sure to finish at a reasonable time. Midnight is quite reasonable and in reality, most parties are better closing on a high rather than a slow fade.

Our events are completely self-contained with all the stands and staging that’s required. We won’t need your spare table or set up on a bar stool !

A sufficiently stable and safe power supply (or access to it) will be required however.

This depends entirely on the rig that has been requested however for the basic set-up of wash lights, speaker system and DJ equipment, around an hour to build up or tear down is normal. This should be taken into account when you book your venue or open/close your pub for example.

In order to keep costs down, any damages to equipment by either yourself or your guests will be chargeable to you in full. If you are particularly concerned, insurance can be arranged at an additional premium.

Whilst being of pleasant demeanour, or DJ’s are professional and know what they are doing. Requests are generally frowned upon and frankly won’t get you a better night. With that being said, if you are the host of an event, the DJ will take instruction from you within reason. It is absolutely possible as an event organiser to specify a pre-arranged playlist provided there is some movement within that (if you want a juke box, then it’s probably best to hire a juke box)

Unfortunately no. There are companies which will provide professional security services and would recommend contacting them if you have concerns.

Technology undoubtedly has a way of catching you out and things do break. We try and mitigate this by using well maintained professional equipment. If something fails, we will do our very best to find a replacement however if this is not possible and we are unable to proceed then your fee will be refunded.

For outdoor events, weather closing play can be a real risk however it is advisable to factor in an alternative spot to set up indoors if the heavens open. We will not risk our equipment and reserve the right to stop the session if the weather is untenable or sufficient cover is not available. The full hire charge will still apply.

Unfortunately not.

Whilst not allowing ‘dry hire’ we will rent any of our equipment if accompanied by our own engineer.

Within reason yes. We have access to a great selection of ‘approved’ genre-specific DJ’s which have the high standards required to perform under the Unique Sessions banner. Fees for these DJ’s are down to separate negotiation.
